What is Ushr?

Ushr is the obligatory Zakat levied on agricultural produce and crops.

  • Nisab (Threshold): 5 Wasq (approx. 653 kg or 1,439 lbs) of produce. If your harvest is below this, no Ushr is due.
  • Natural Irrigation: Lands watered naturally by rain, rivers, or streams are taxed at 10%.
  • Artificial Irrigation: Lands watered via purchased water, tube wells, or machinery are taxed at 5%.
